I am in the process of getting my contractor’s license in the State of Tennessee. However, I do not intend to manage or bid projects as a general contractor. I am much more interested in helping both contractors and clients navigate the planning and execution of a project rather than managing the work myself.

I am neither one of those, but have spent the last 14 years working collaborating with them. Architects and Designers have skills I do not have. But, as a builder, I have a handle on what things cost, what materials are available, and what space layouts and room sizes work well. Collaborating with skilled designers is one aspect of the job I especially enjoy.

Not at all. It’s my goal to provide the services that meet your needs - and that can be customized to your business and/or your project.

I have helped clients remotely, but those were unique situations. Being able to meet face to face is often critical on these projects, so being in the Nashville/Franklin area is ideal. If you have a project out of the area that you want to discuss, I’m happy to do that, but might very well refer you to someone local.

Where possible, we prefer to charge a lump sum fee for a clearly defined scope of services. We know what you expect, you know what it will cost - and there’s a clear start and stop to the services. If that’s not possible for your project, we will agree upon a projected number of hours as a baseline and 30|30 will track and bill hourly toward that.
Why is the company called 30|30?
The name of my business, 30 | 30 Construction Consulting, is derived from two things I have truly valued: my time as a softball catcher and my admiration for basketball player Stephen Curry. Both of these influences shape how I approach my consulting work.
As a catcher, I wore jersey number 30 and had the unique vantage point of seeing the entire field—the players, the plays, and all the moving parts. I coordinated the infield, positioning players and making sure everyone was in sync. My role was also to support and encourage the pitcher, guiding them through frustration or pressure in a high-stakes game. Much like a construction project, it’s about being the steadying force, seeing the bigger picture, and providing clarity when things seem unclear.
Steph Curry also wears jersey number 30 — he’s a player renowned for his work ethic, incredible skill, and creativity. Just as Steph has mastered the art of shooting with unparalleled diligence and fun, I aim to approach my work with the same level of dedication. His creativity on the court, taking shots no one else would, mirrors my approach in construction consulting—finding creative solutions and delivering results that exceed expectations. Curry plays with passion and purpose, and that’s the energy I bring to each project I take on.
In my role as a consultant, I offer a combination of that wide-angle perspective and relentless work ethic. I provide insight, support, and coordination to contractors, designers, and homeowners, making sure everything is aligned and in motion. Like a catcher managing the flow of the game or a point guard reading the defense, I take pride in overseeing all aspects of a project and ensuring that everyone plays their part in harmony.

After spending 20 years working for general contractors—gaining experience in both commercial and residential construction—I launched 30|30 Construction Consulting in the fall of 2024. My goal is to use my expertise to support small builders and individual homeowners as they navigate the complexities of their construction projects.
One of the things I love most about my work is the opportunity to use both sides of my brain. Blending the creative elements of design and beauty with the practical problem-solving and troubleshooting that construction inevitably demands is incredibly fulfilling. Every project is unique, bringing its own challenges, opportunities, and rewards.
But, what I enjoy most of all are the people. I love being part of a process that helps homeowners and builders create beautiful, functional spaces for families and friends to gather, live, and thrive. Whether it’s guiding a builder through project planning or supporting a homeowner as they bring their vision to life, I find immense satisfaction in helping others achieve their goals with confidence and clarity.
